JOB DESCRIPTION: Career Technical Instruction (CTI) Coordinator
CONTRACT TERMS: 190-day calendar
REPORTS TO: CTAE Director
SALARY RANGE: SCCS District certified salary schedule
FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT: Exempt
Overall Purpose
Provides resource assistance to students with special needs in career and technical
education classes. Assists in transition from school to post-secondary education,
employment and career opportunities.
Essential Functions
- Organize and provide support services to students with disabilities enrolled in Career, Technical, and Agricultural courses in CTAE classrooms and/or CTAE lab environments.
- Assist in identifying students who may benefit from the CTI program.
- Communicates with parents of CTI students regarding progress and/or any specific concerns encountered.
- Coordinate student's career pathway with short and long-range career goals through an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Develop and maintain communication with industry representatives.
- Adhere to all state guidelines required for the implementation of a successful program.
- Participate in the development of the transition section of an IEP.
- Provide work-based learning experiences.
- Maintain and document progress from school to career, including plans for postsecondary training.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Valid Georgia certificate in Special Education (CTAE experience is a plus).
Valid Georgia driver's license.
Physical Requirements
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.
Generally, the job requires 20% sitting, 40% walking, and 40% standing.

Maintains all licenses and certifications.
